Dating back to the 16th century, The Farmers was once known as The Pack Horse, a popular stop for travellers and their horses. After a full refurbishment in 2018, it’s now a welcoming mix of modern dining, cosy pub charm and warm Ulverston spirit.
Our private dining room seats up to 22 guests – perfect for birthdays or small gatherings – and there’s no hire fee. Whether you’re joining us for breakfast, dinner or drinks with friends, you’ll always find a friendly welcome at The Farmers.
Start your day the right way – we open from 9am serving freshly ground Rijo coffee and hearty breakfasts. Our breakfast menu is full of favourites and fresh options to suit every appetite.
From 12 noon to 3pm, we serve up delicious lunches —-think hot and cold baguettes, pizzas, fresh salads and sharing boards, all made with locally sourced ingredients. If you’re in the mood for something more substantial, our main menu runs from 12pm to 2:30pm.
As evening arrives, join us in the restaurant for dinner from 5pm to 8:30pm. Choose from our freshly made meat and seafood specials or explore our full evening menu — our famous mussels are a must-try! Specials change weekly, so there’s always something new on the table.
We highly recommend booking a table in the restaurant to avoid missing out. Prefer something a bit more spontaneous? Our cocktail bar area is perfect for walk-ins — ideal for cocktails, local ales and nibbles with friends. We also keep walk-in tables available on Friday and Saturday evenings (5pm–8:30pm).
