The Role:

We’re looking for a pragmatic Manager to take full ownership of one of our venues. You’ll be the person behind the smooth operation of the entire venue, ensuring every shift, service, and team member works in harmony. With support from your office team, staff, and our loyal customers, it will ultimately be down to you to run a venue while keeping the exceptional experiences our guests have come to expect.

What We Need From You:

• Lead by example and inspire your team to deliver outstanding service
• Take full ownership of all venue operations – front-of-house, food, drinks, stock, deliveries, and cleanliness
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times, ensuring the wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, and guests
• Handle staffing, recruitment, rotas, and training with confidence
• Drive sales, manage budgets, and maintain profitability
• Be hands-on – this is hospitality, there’s no easy ride, and you should be ready to roll your sleeves up
• Work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays – not all the time, but most of them. Hospitality isn’t a 9-5 office job; we need someone who understands that & thrives!

We’re looking for a hands-on, no-nonsense Assistant Manager to be second-in-command at one of our venues. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to run the venue smoothly and make sure everything ticks along beautifully – from training and inspiring your team, to handling daily operations, deliveries, ordering, and cleanliness.

We’re looking for a Supervisor to help keep our venues running smoothly. You’ll be supporting the management team by making sure everyone is doing their job properly and maintaining high standards – YOU INCLUDED! You’ll report to management, support the team, and be involved in day-to-day decisions — and in time, there may be opportunities to take on more responsibility, like running a section alongside other management.

• Keep the team performing to a high standard and make sure everyone is doing their job
• Support staff, provide guidance, and maintain morale on shift
• Make decisions confidently on routine issues, and know when to escalate to management
• Help maintain smooth operations, including service, stock, cleanliness, and deliveries

We’re looking for a capable, level-headed Sous Chef to help lead the kitchen at Chattaway Inns, in Ulverston – The Farmers + The Rose and Crown. This is a fast-paced venue serving fresh, seasonal food to a high standard.

As Sous Chef, you’ll be supporting the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, setting the pace in service, helping train and guide the team, and keeping standards sharp across the board. We’re after someone who’s calm under pressure, confident with ordering and prep planning, and happy to lead by example on a busy pass.
