Bar / Restaurant Staff
£12.50-£14.00 per hour*

The Farmers isn’t just a pub – it’s a lively, well-loved fixture in the heart of Ulverston. From breakfast or lunchtime catch-ups to packed Saturday nights, we’re proud to be part of the town’s buzzing food and drink scene – and we’re looking for new faces to join our front-of-house crew.

We’re after real people with character. The kind of people who can chat to anyone, enjoy working as part of a team, and bring good energy to a shift. You don’t need years of experience – if you’ve got the right attitude, we can teach you the rest. We can show you how to carry three plates, pour the perfect pint, or handle a busy dinner service. What we can’t teach is how to be a good crack – and that’s what really matters here.

The Role Includes:

• Serving drinks – from pints and wines to cocktails and coffees
• Running food and looking after guests with warmth and confidence
• Being part of a tight-knit team that looks out for each other
• Helping keep the bar, restaurant, and terrace running smoothly
• Playing your part in creating a great experience, every time

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience in hospitality
• Knows how to graft when it gets busy – and still have a laugh
• Is reliable, friendly, and happy to get stuck in
• Brings good vibes, solid team spirit, and a sense of pride in the job
• Can work a variety of shifts, including evenings (shifts which can be 5 pm–1 am) and weekends – this is when we’re at our busiest!

Bar / Restaurant Supervisor
£13.50 – £14.50 per hour*

We’re looking for a confident, experienced supervisor to help lead the front-of-house team at The Farmers.

You’ll be running shifts, supporting the team, and making sure service stays smooth and standards stay high. When the manager’s off, you’re in charge — keeping things moving and setting the tone for the shift.

What you’ll get:

• Up to £14.50 per hour, depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Running busy shifts from the front
• Leading the team on the floor and behind the bar
• Making sure service, cleanliness, and stock are on point
• Helping train and support new staff
• Taking responsibility for cash handling and daily operations

• Experience in a similar supervisor role
• Confident, calm, and fair under pressure
• Great with customers and the team alike
• Happy working evenings and weekends
• A Personal Licence (or willing to get one)
